Fund Objective: The Fund aims to grow, over any 5-year period, by more than 3% per annum above the rate of UK inflation (as measured by the UK Consumer Prices Index) by investing in companies that have both infrastructure characteristics and provide environmental and/or social benefits. For these purposes, positive environmental and social benefits include increasing low-carbon energy capacity, generating low-carbon energy, or providing assets that facilitate essential services including transport, healthcare, education, and digital connectivity. These environmental and/or social benefits are provided by companies which have a good ‘footprint’ (which is the environmental and social impact of their day-to-day operations) and a good ‘handprint’ (which is the scope of the individual holding’s goods and services to actively decarbonise an economic sector or provide a positive social outcome). There is no guarantee that the Fund will achieve a positive return over this, or any other, period and you may not get back the original amount you invested.

ESG

What is ESG?

ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance and is an approach for evaluating to what extent a company works towards social goals. For investors this can be used in order to understand how their funds and the assets they are made up of work towards these goals and use that information to help make sustainable investment choices.
